Waterproofing and Finishing: The Perfect Match with a Solid Surface Shower Tray
In wet areas, the durability of a shower enclosure ultimately relies on the watertight seal where it meets the tray. This is where water is most likely to seep in over time, weakening the substrate. To prevent this, profiles are installed directly onto the tray, while integrated channels are moulded straight into its structure.
The aim of this design is to eliminate stagnant water traps and minimise the use of exposed silicone on the surface. For commercial and professional projects, the longevity of this joint is just as crucial as that of the panel itself. Because solid surface is non-porous, it traps neither limescale nor cleaning products, ensuring optimal ageing over several decades. And if needed, a simple light sanding is all it takes to buff out any potential scratches.
